Assassin's Creed Valhalla Known Issues Being Investigated

Assassin's Creed Valhalla has issues that Ubisoft is constantly looking into. To keep the community in the loop the developers provided a list of what they're aware of and encourage fans to continue submitting tickets for any issues.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now available for PS4, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.

ALL PLATFORMS?

Fish do not spawn at coasts or in the ocean

Photo Mode frames not applied to photos

Fishmonger cannot be finished / quest remains in celebrated status

Cannot proceed with several quests: 

A Cruel Destiny / NPCs intervenes during the boss fight

Cannot move shelves in The Demon Odor at the Tithe mystery

War Weary / Cannot re-enter quest area 

Binding Fate / Boss stuck underground

Binding Fate / Cannot progress after talking to Tyr 

Extended Family / Boss is stuck near walls

Extended Family / Boss remains underground

The Big Finish / Quest objective doesn't update after picking up the builder's paint

The First Night of Samhain / Gunnar is stuck

Unable to move cargo in Blood from A Stone

Prodigal Prince / Objective stuck when the player assassinated the 1st training dummy before reaching the appropriate checkpoint

Twit Saga, I / House sometimes doesn't catch fire

Unable to talk to Randvi after completing the Sciropescire Arc

Unable to complete Clues and Riddles / Cannot complete the objective when loading a save after having knocked on the door

Cannot complete Dobby's Altar / Cannot find Fabric anywhere 

Final order member not revealed after defeating all OOA members. 

Diamond rune slots on gear pieces other than torsos (More details available here)

Mythic gear sets are downgraded when redeemed in Vinland 

Lip Sync / Mouth movement during dialogues since 1.1.1 

Cannot interact with Tove after completing Carrying the Torch / Tattoo shop 

Premium Starter Pack items are added in "Fine" instead of "Mythic" quality 

School of fish takes a long time to respawn after one is caught

All order members killed after killing a Zealot

Walk speed with disguise is limited

Unable to interact with item in Ragnar's pit

Workaround: Follow the steps gathered by u/TheeElf on Reddit. We want to thank our various community members for coming together to find a workaround for this.   

Multiple issues with Ubisoft Connect challenges not being properly tracked and stats not displaying the correct information 

Players may fall through map in a cave near Anlaf's Lookout

 

Xbox Series / PS5

Some players are experiencing issues when using Switcher (PS5) or Quick Resume (Xbox) over extended periods of time.

Recommendation: Be sure to save before suspending or switch away from the game to minimize the risk of losing progression when resuming play.

 

PC

(Ubisoft Connect) "Disorder of Ancients", "The Enemy of my Enemy", "Take My Hand" Ubisoft Connect achievements not unlocking despite meeting conditions

Mari Lwyd costume applied after completing the Glowecestrescire arc (in Glowecestrescire)

Dropping the torch during battle requires you to aim with LT and press RT to drop?

World event cannot be completed due to various actions.? 

Workaround: To reset, fast travel to a different location and return later to restart.? 

The world map territories do not scale to Eivor’s power level.

“The Way of the Berserker” and “Legend of Beowulf” can be accessed after founding your settlement in England.? 

Note: To start the?quest?you need to go to Eivor’s room in the longhouse and open your letterbox and read the highlighted letters.  

Sons of Ragnar - Interact button to speak to Ubba at the docks only appears at a specific angle

Note: This is intended. Players can only interact with NPCs while facing them
