Cardboard Computer Possibly Hints At Kentucky Route Zero's Final Episode Coming Soon

The notoriously silent developer has posted an image that fits Kentucky Route Zero's mood.

Indie developer Cardboard Computer is known for its excellent, currently unfinished, episodic adventure game Kentucky Route Zero as well as for being quite silent regarding their development process. The fourth episode saw the light of day back in 2016 and since then little else was revealed about the fifth and final episode. While it doesn't explicitly clarify anything itself, a recent image posted on the developer's Twitter account might as well suggest that we're getting close to the end of the adventure.

Back in September, the developer opened a Patreon account with the stated purpose of communicating more with its audience. The "Why Patreon?" post also mentions Kentucky Route Zero wrapping up. The image posted on Twitter could imply anything and I'm sure people will find enough deeper meanings behind it. To me, it just looks like an upside down five, but my eagerly awaiting the story's conclusion might play a role in how I interpret it.
