Something is definitely on the horizon with God of War, apart from the undergoing remastering of God of War Greek Saga. Following a surprising new teaser, God of War fans are looking forward to The Game Awards with keen interest. We previously shared information about Santa Monica actively developing a God of War sequel, and now a new rumor hinting at a God of War announcement during The Game Awards 2024, which is scheduled to take place on December 13th.

New God of War Game, Atreus, Protagonist, Kratos son, Boy

A new teaser from actor Christopher Judge (who gives the voice for Kratos) has come to light, and it appears that it adds credibility to the rumor that has been going around for some time. According to Judge's recent comment on a social media platform, there will be an endless number of surprises in the coming two weeks. Then, he ends the tease with the famous phrase "Boy," as if to hint at impending messages pertaining to God of War.

Those who played God of War 4 (God of War 2018) and God of War Ragnarök will recognize this as a nod to the iconic relationship between Kratos and his son Atreus. The following two weeks, according to Judge, will be jam-packed with announcements and other exciting things. Then he said," Thank you so much for joining us, and we will talk to you soon. Boy!"

There are still more than two weeks until The Game Awards 2024. God of War animator Roberto Clemente from Santa Monica has put fuel on the teaser by retweeting a fan-made post on X that speculates about what Judge might be hinting at. The tweet mentions the upcoming series on Amazon called Secret Level, which will feature God of War. Additionally, the message hints at the anticipated new God of War game and the rumored revival of the original God of War titles for current-gen platforms, including PlayStation 5 Pro.

However, regrettably, the only thing we have at this moment is assumption. Judge has only provided this first hint, and neither PlayStation nor Santa Monica Studios have made any comments regarding the matter. We can only hope that this teaser truly indicates a new God of War game reveal at The Game Awards 2024.
