Pokemon Sword and Shield New Trailer and Screenshots Feature New Gym Leaders and a Corgi-inspired Pokemon

New Pokemon and Trainers shown in latest trailer and screenshots for Pokemon Sword and Shield

Nintendo released a massive amount of Pokemon Sword and Shield screenshots, art, and information. Showcasing new Pokemon coming to the next installment.

The trailer provides a look at the Gigantamaxing feature, where a Pokemon grows to a colossal size and access specific G-Max Move. Similar to Mega Evolution and Z-Moves, this feature is to be used strategically during dire situations or to keep your advantage. New art, shown below, showcases 3 Pokemon able to access the transformation.

The trailer featured some new Pokemon coming to Sword and Shield. Alcremie is a cream-based Fairy type that urns into a large cake when Gigantimaxing. Duraludon, a Steel/Dragon type that apparently has a high speed stat despite its bulky appearance. And lastly, Rolycoly is a Rock type Pokemon which gives it a speed boost when attacked by with a fire or water type move.

Lastly, Nintendo highlighted several new characters. This includes Pokemon League: Chairman Rose and his secretary Oleana and Bea and Allister who are gym leaders. Bea uses Fighting-type Pokemon and Allister ghost types. During my E3 2019 demo, I fought Nessa, who used water-type Pokemon.
