Resident Evil Village is getting another performance update for the Steam version of the game. This one fixing minor NPC issues and more.
A second Resident Evil Village performance patch is releasing on Steam starting August 24th UTC. The patch addresses the following:

- Fixed an issue where certain CPUs were unable to launch the game
- Minor fine-tuning of certain graphical processes
The update will:

Capcom has been recently updating Resident Evil Village since Digital Foundry found the game's performance on PC was suffering from DRM. Since then Capcom has been updating the game on PC to improve performance.
Resident Evil Village is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
