The undead are coming back to life, and this time they're coming out of the GameCube era. Sources say that a new report has confirmed that Capcom is indeed working on a Resident Evil Zero Remake. This project has been in the works for a few years now under the secretive code name Chamber. The title is a clever reference to the main character, Rebecca Chambers. It is the next step in Capcom's ambitious remake lineup after the successful remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4.

Fans have been asking for new versions of both Resident Evil Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero for a long time, and it looks like their prayers have finally been heard. The new report backs up what was said in earlier leaks. It shows that Resident Evil Zero Remake is now in an advanced stage of production, with new performance capture sessions starting in 2024.

As Star-Lord in "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" and in "Far Cry 5," John McLaren is one of the most interesting new cast members. Since his name is in the credits for "Project Chamber," it's likely that he will play Billy Coen, the game's mysterious co-protagonist who goes on a scary flashback quest with Rebecca.

Beyond Capture Studios, a company that has worked with Capcom on big games like Resident Evil 4 Remake and Street Fighter 6, is said to be in charge of the motion capture work for the remake. Fans can expect movie-like animations, realistic character performances, and terrifying realism that pushes the PS5 to its limits, given that pedigree. Purists who want the original voice actors to come back may be disappointed that the leads have been recast, but Capcom has a history of bringing old material back to life, so this move could give the story new life.

As for the story, people who know say that the Resident Evil Zero Remake will stay true to the main story of the original while adding more depth to important scenes and character arcs. There will be new cinematic flair and emotional depth added to Rebecca's early days as a rookie member of S.T.A.R.S. and her fateful meeting with Billy Coen on the doomed Ecliptic Express.

This method is similar to Capcom's current remake idea, which aims to keep the game's main parts while adding new storylines and speeding things up. Horror fans who have seen it before will enjoy this one again. It has just the right amount of mystery to make it feel new again.

The remake of Resident Evil Zero seems to be part of a carefully planned plan by Capcom that will take place over several years. Reports say that Resident Evil Requiem will come out in 2026, followed by the long-awaited Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake in 2027, and finally the Resident Evil Zero Remake in 2028. If this pattern keeps up, fans could be in for a great time with reimagined survival horror games, each one bringing back a key part of the series' history for a new generation of players.

It's not surprising that Capcom is making more remakes. Each entry has found a good balance between being nostalgic and new, making both new and old fans happy.

The company has made its remakes into events instead of just re-releases by updating the gameplay while keeping the tension and atmosphere that made the originals so great. Resident Evil Zero gives you a chance to go back to the creepy feel of the early 2000s while improving on everything that made it a cult classic, like its dual-character system, tight spaces, and haunting music.

Zero was a unique movie because of its creepy loneliness and slow-burning tension. Fans are still not sure if this remake will have those elements or if it will be more action-packed like some of its sequels.  Shades of the Ecliptic Express are moving again, and the series that won't die is getting ready for another comeback, no matter what Capcom does.

When it comes to Resident Evil, every remake seems to make things a little better. So, the big question is: Will you be ready to get on this train of terror when it finally gets to the station?
