Here, you will find all the collectible secrets and resources of the "Defend Hebeth" Quest in Doom: The Dark Ages. This guide will show you through every room, corner, possible enemies, and how to counter them, so you will not miss any life sigils, gold, codex entries, toys, or secret rooms.

Life Sigil and Imp Stalker Toy

Early on in the level, you'll find yourself inside a room with many enemies after you break through a door. Clear out the room entirely, then head around and smash through another door on the side. In this second room, dispose of the enemies and head to the far corner. You'll see your first life sigil there.

Note that if you already have three, you won't be able to grab any more. In any case, this is the first secret.

The second one is just behind the last room. When you proceed, you go up a ramp to another room. Rather than go straight ahead, take off to the side where the two boxes are stacked. Jump over them, fall into the concealed alcove at the back, and find a secret with the Imp Stalker Toy inside.

This collectible contributes to 100% completion. To leave, break through the breakable part close using your shield—it'll bring you back onto the main path without any hassle.

Codex Entry and Shrine Gold

Shortly after grabbing the Imp Stalker Toy, you'll enter a room that leads across a straight path into another section. Two enemies will jump at you. After defeating them, drop down into the lower area and climb back up through another passage.

Proceed through this section, and you'll come across some stacked boxes. Jump over these to get to a codex entry—your first-level codex. Look at your map to ensure you're over the spot marked if you don't know where it is.

There, you'll find yourself in a big room. Approach straight to the left and make your way towards the corner. You can spot some cash—your first shrine gold—there. Finally, move to the room's opposite corner and pick up even more gold.

Move up and toward the shrine itself and look around the back; there's additional money just behind the shrine. After looting the room, move to the next chest and open the gold chest with your action key (E or controller equivalent). That takes care of this level's secrets.

Hidden Gold

Continue down the hallway and turn to the right when instructed. Look to your right-hand side, and you will see a big statue. Also, near this statue is a ledge that you can jump onto.

Stand on the ledge, kill the enemy guarding it, and collect the gold hoard. These secret ledges will typically contain resources, so watch out whenever you see large ornamental objects like statues.

Next, you'll find yourself in a coiling section. Shortly, you'll be in a room with several golden highlights and shatter points. When you see something to bounce off and a building to the left, jump the projectile back into it using your shield.

This opens a door where more gold is kept. The map will indicate a side room off the main hall, where gold is kept.

Cultist Encounter

Later, you'll find yourself in a place with several cultists. Clear them out and head towards the other end of the arena. There are two stacks of gold to loot on your right-hand and left-hand sides.

Close by is a corpse, too—head towards it to loot a critical key that will help progress. Do not miss this key, as it is explicitly linked to progress and inventory collection.

Helmet Chamber Secrets

You will then arrive at a room recognizable because a big helmet-shaped object is in the center of the room. You can turn left and proceed to the next hallway inside this room. You can see a destructible door that you can destroy.

Here is a little gold stash; if you look to your left within the room, you can also see another life sigil. This is another treasure that increases your survivability throughout the mission. Use your melee attack to destroy the wall and return to the main room.

Ventilation Tunnel, Secret, and Armor Room

Soon enough, you'll find yourself in a section that includes passing through a tunnel-like ventilation system. While standing before a projectile-launching device, bounce it back with your shield into the node on your right-hand side.

This will reward you with additional gold. These little challenges are seen more often the higher you get in the level, so it's worth watching out for shield-reflection opportunities.

Later, return to the hall where you jumped over by the statue. This time, the below is accessible. Go down, and you'll have a secret room with armor and gold inside. Grab everything before continuing.

Fire Gate Puzzle and Life Sigil

Next, you'll reach an outdoor area with a fire-blocked door. Now, proceed straight ahead and begin climbing up using the available ledges. There is gold scattered around this vertical climb, so make sure to gather everything. Eventually, you'll reach a destructible target. Throw your shield at it to trigger a mechanism that turns off the fire gate.

Jump across to the newly opened area. Don't worry if you miss the jump—you can climb up from underneath. Within lies armor, gold, and a handle-equipped device. You must work the handle to turn off the flames on your route.

Proceed to battle a mini-boss. You'll gain even more gold and your life sigil in defeating him. After collecting everything, smash through another destructible barrier to exit the area.

Watching the Titans and Shrine Climb

A bit further on, you'll see a cutscene where two Titans fight in the distance. After clearing this area of enemies, the door nearby will open, and you will see yourself in yet another treasure of gold. Take care to explore this new ground before moving on.

As you head down underground and travel to the next shrine, you will see an area with green sludge. Climb in through this dirty portion of the terrain and use it to scale the landscape.

You will come across a chest placed in a high spot later. Interact with the chest to claim its loot. This is another secret treasure that many players overlook.

Dead End Treasure and Weapon Skin

Once you've completed the underground shrine, turn left from the main hallway down a dead-end-looking path. There are some piles of stacked boxes; use those to climb higher. Jump onto another platform, and you can access even more gold.

Fall into the pit-like area next to it to find even more treasure. Gold is littered about wherever you go on this route, accumulating fast, so be sure not to miss any corners.

This secret is rewarded near the end of this path with a secret weapon skin, so it is one of the more premium secrets in the level.

Final Resource and Boss Fight

The last collectible item is at the level's end in your fight with the boss. When you fight the boss, keep parrying all his green attacks. They are timed prompts and, if done right, will shatter his armor. Keep the pressure by dodging and counter-attacking until his armor is completely shattered.

When prompted, perform the finisher move. You will drain a power source from his body upon defeating the boss. This object will permanently increase your maximum health—a nice upgrade as you continue into Doom: The Dark Ages.
