There are six secrets and life sigils in the Village of Khalim of Doom: The Dark Ages. Some items are missable, so use the map references provided to find all the collectibles and life sigils.

First Life Sigil

The first secret is a missable life sigil in Doom: The Dark Ages. You'll reach a part in your playthrough where you will get the Power Gauntlet, and the game will prompt you to kill the enemies with your Gauntlet and collect gauntlet charges. There will be different variants of enemies that you need to kill during this section of the game.

You can use your Gauntlet to kill them or any weapons you like. After killing them, a door will open up. Go through it, and you'll be facing another enemy. After defeating him, go through the door behind him—you can smash through it. In there, you'll get your first life sigil.

Imp Toy

The second secret comes after you get the blue key, which you must have to progress through the level in Doom: The Dark Ages—there is no way you can miss it because the game's objective will lead you to this key. This key can be found during the "Cover the Escape" Objective.

As you progress through the objective, you'll get the key to a church near a dead body. Pick up the key and see a glowing, breakable door. Break this door, and jump down.

After landing, turn back around and head in the opposite direction. Keep following the path forward. You'll see a secret door that is opened by the blue key. You'll find the IMP Toy inside once you open the door with your key.

Second Life Sigil

This can be found by entering a cave-like mini arena in Doom: The Dark Ages, where some enemies will spawn during the objective, where you must destroy four demonic portals. Enemies will spawn in this cave, and you have to kill all the enemies because the exits and the room containing the life sigil will be locked during the fight.

After doing so, you can access another life sigil closed between metal doors. This is extremely easy to find, and it's extremely simple.

Toy Soldier

The Toy Soldier in Doom: The Dark Ages is near where you pick up the shredder weapon. After picking up the shredder and killing a few enemies, proceed towards the small island with a glowing signal.

Jump down into the mini area and follow the path, eventually leading you to a small cave. The Toy Soldier can be found here. Be careful—when going out, an enemy will spawn. Kill it and move forward.

Weapon Skin

While in the same place, search for a ledge to jump onto. Jump down to a secret area that looks like a cave entrance with another toy inside. The Toy will be blocked when you get there, and enemies will spawn. Turn back and shoot the barrels that spawn as soon as they appear. This will kill them instantly.

If you shoot too soon, you will have to kill them yourself. Killing all the enemies will unlock the gate, which has a shotgun skin inside. Follow the path inside the cave, and you'll see a jumping platform.

Use the jumping platform to throw yourself into the air, and you'll land in an area with loot. Pick it up and move through the gate that just opened in Doom: The Dark Ages.

Third Life Sigil

Later, in the same quest, after you have closed the third portal by killing all the enemies, you will cross a small bridge, which leads to an area where you'll find a key. Rather than proceed as the objective marker indicates, backtrack to the location where you started the objective.

Use glowing jumping platforms to return to where you found the first portal in Doom: The Dark Ages.

Once you are back, you'll notice a locked door. The secret key you have found will open it, leading to the third and last Life Sigil of the level in Doom: The Dark Ages.

First Codex Entry

Once you've collected the third Life Sigil, continue through the objective and close the fourth portal by killing all the enemies near it.

After you have closed the fourth and final portal, look for a rounded, climbable mountain-type structure. Move around the structure counterclockwise, jumping between platforms or climbing where ledges exist. You will come across a ledge with a Codex Entry at the top.

After you have collected the Codex Entry, Jump Down and follow the indicated objective.

Final Codex Entry

The last secret of the Village of Khalim in Doom: The Dark Ages is found shortly after the second arena battle. Where many enemies surround you, this is a relatively difficult battle since it's near the last section of this Chapter, so use any health kits or ammo you can find. After clearing the area, a gate is opened, and you will unlock a new path.

When following the path, remember that rather than turning left as your objective instructs, turn to the right and look around the wall. There should be a climbable ledge. Use the ledge and climb up to an area where you will see some of your allies and ammo. This is where you will find your final Codex Entry.

This is how you can collect all the secrets in the Village of Khalim in Doom: The Dark Ages. There are three Life Sigils, two Toys, two Codex Entries, and a weapon skin. Some secrets, like the first life sigil, are missable. So be careful.
