To clear out Doom: The Dark Ages' Heart Chamber, you must first jump straight down into it. When you land, get ready for a tough fight.

Entering the Heart Chamber

There will be a lot of enemies here, and the level of challenge will change depending on where you play. This area is tough and keeps you on your toes no matter what mode you're in.

Handling the Enemy Waves

When you get inside, a lot of enemies will attack you. Keep moving and pay attention to managing the crowd. When fighting bigger enemies, you should definitely use the nail gun.

This tool is superb at swiftly and cleanly killing big, bad guys.

If you're on an easier difficulty, you'll likely find the fight more manageable, but don't underestimate it—these enemies can still put up a serious fight.

Dealing with the Heavy-Hitter

There will be one especially large enemy that you need to focus on. When you face him, use a double armor and red attack to strip his defenses.

Once his armor is gone, you'll finally be able to deal some real damage. The super shotgun is also a great option here—it's powerful enough to take him down with well-placed shots.

As soon as you defeat that big enemy, the rest of the encounter winds down. Taking him out clears the Heart Chamber and marks the end of the fight. That's how you successfully complete this area in Doom: The Dark Ages.
