Perhaps one of the first actual pieces of gear available to pick up in God Save Birmingham, it should be a heavy priority to acquire early as it presents virtually no danger. This book will lead you straight to its location and how to confront it.

Where the Helmet Is Located

Once you're ready to go back to it, the helmet is located inside the building you started in, but not in the room you started in, so it's helpful to remember where it's located in the building. Walk out the front door before going that way. No barricades to be cleared on the way through here.

The Pottage Pot, the Fireplace

To the right, there is a pot holding soup. This is the way you'll get pottage early in the run. Until you've got one established, you can feed into the food that is left out in the dining room, but when you can make pottage, then make the switch and don't eat raw food that's left around town, that's a waste of time. Here is a fireplace, too, that could appear like a cooking area. It isn't, at least not yet. At the moment, it is only a warm object.

Grabbing Boots at the Priory Grounds

The game will guide you to explore the grounds of the priory. Make a right turn into the first building you reach and you'll see a pair of boots lying on the ground. Give them weapons to have a little more power behind your zombie-killing stomps. Collect any sticks of wood you come across as well, but don't take too many, as you won't need too many. If you are interested in having a spare pair of boots, you may find one here as well.

Fighting Toward the Pantry

From there, walk towards the pantry building. There will also be a group of zombies outside, so you will need to move to a crouch to not engage all of them in one battle. As you approach, aim to shoot the zombies from head to head. Right click = Wide swing, Left click = overhead swing. Be cautious, as zombies can find you even when you cannot see them clearly, and watch your stamina all the way.

Clearing the Final Room

After clearing the outdoor space and going through the pantry, go into the next room and a number of zombies await behind a door. Don't force the door open, disassemble it instead and use the leg-breaking method: Wait in the doorway, allowing the zombies one by one to work their way through. Remove them and move on until you get to the room with the helmet. Once the ground is clear, put it on the ground and outfit it.
