Gothic 1 Remake Guide | How to Get the Best Early Armor for Free

When you have your Mount in Gothic 1 Remake you are ready to grab your first piece of Armor. Getting this item is helpful because it gives you extra Buffs and it allows you to go into new Locations that were previously off limits.

Reaching the Free Mine

To locate this Digger's Dress, head back to the New Camp and start climbing the Mountains. Walk past the Lake and keep following the main path forward. 

You will eventually reach the entrance to the Free Mine. Once you walk out of the last Cave, turn to the right and continue until you are inside the Free Mine area in Gothic 1 Remake.

Claiming the Digger's Dress from Swiney

Inside the Mine, look for the first Shack you see. This is where you will find Swiney. Start a conversation with him and tell him you want to work as a Scrapper. When he asks about your background, admit that you have no Experience. 

Because of this, he will give you the Digger's Dress. Even though it is just Rags, it is much stronger than your starting Clothing and will help you survive as you explore the world in Gothic 1 Remake.
