To Level Up Fast and Survive in the Mining Colony, you have to complete Quests and Focus on Clever Combat Strategies to Reach Level 5.
Easy XP from Escort Missions
Escort Missions are the quickest way to gain XP without high Stats. The NPCs will act as your guards and will take down the Enemies for you. You will receive the full Experience Point worth for each kill even if you do not land a single hit.

You should first speak with Mordrag at the Southern Gate of the Old Camp and ask him to guide you to the New Camp. He will handle the dangerous Creatures along the way, helping you reach Level 2 with almost no effort in Gothic 1 Remake.
Make sure to loot every Corpse he drops to collect extra Ore and Supplies. When you need more Levels later, return to the Southern Area and find Baal Parvez.
He can escort you to the Swamp Camp. The Enemies on this route are much stronger, providing a massive boost to your XP as you head toward Level 5.
Complete Important Quests
Turning in finished Quests provides a reliable flow of Levels. You should look for the body of Nek inside the Cave near the Southern Exit. Taking the Nek's Amulet from him and giving it to Sly in the Old Camp earns you a good amount of XP.
You can also help the Cook Snaf by gathering five Hellcap Mushrooms and Meat from Meatbugs found near the Southern Gate. Finishing this Mission rewards you with XP and lets you claim free Food daily.
Finally, talk to Thorus at the Inner Gate of the Old Camp to start his Mission involving Mordrag. Solving this situation nets you a quick 250 XP bonus.

Improve Combat and Arena Skills
Once you have enough Resources, focus on Training to earn even more Rewards. Visit Scatty at the Arena in the Old Camp to pay 10 Learning Points and 50 Ore for the first Level of One-Handed Weapon Training in Gothic 1 Remake.
This makes your Character significantly more effective in a Fight. You can then challenge the local Fighters in the Arena.
While you can pass this part of the game even if you lose, winning the Matches gives you three times more XP than losing, making it a great way to push your Level higher before you move on to new Areas in Gothic 1 Remake.
