Dealing with Torch in Gothic 1 Remake can be pretty annoying. Once you light a Torch, you cannot just shove it back into your Inventory Bag.

If you try to pull out a Blade, your character just drops the Light Source on the Ground. You can pick it up again after putting your Steel Weapon away, but trying to pocket it normally just forces you to drop it right back down in Gothic 1 Remake.

Letting the Fire Die

You can choose to just stand there and do nothing. Eventually, the Torch burns all its wood and goes dark on its own. After the Fire dies, you can grab the Object off the Ground.

It goes straight into your Pack without staying in your hand. This Gameplay Trick works fine, but it wastes a lot of time when you want to keep moving.

Taking a Quick Swim

A much faster trick requires finding some deep Water Source. Walk around with the flame in your hand until you spot a River or a deep Pond.

Walk straight into the current until you have to swim. Going into deep water forces your Game Character to pack the Torch away. The waves put the Fire out instantly, and the Item ends up back in your Gear in Gothic 1 Remake.
