In the world of Layers Of Fear, you can find old wax cylinders that hold Audio Recordings. These items let you hear interviews and stories about the past of James and the Burns children. Once you collect them, you can listen to them in your Cabin between the chapters. This guide will show you where each cylinder is hidden so you can complete your collection.

Finding the Early Records

You will find the first recording waiting for you when the story begins. It sits on the table next to your bed in the Cabin. As you begin to explore the ship in the first chapter, you will find your next cylinder after the first section with the crayon trails. Look inside the Dresser on the left side of the passenger cabin to find it.

Hidden in the Ship and Memories

In the second chapter, you will reach the Animal Pens. To move forward, you must first close a Cage Door. Once you have passed it, open that same door again and step inside the cage. You will find a Chest there that holds an audio cylinder.

When you reach the third chapter and finish the chase through the hedge maze, you will enter a Projection Room that is on fire. Before you leave, check the Workbench to your left and open the drawer to find another recording.

The Final Logs

During the fourth chapter, you will climb a very tall set of stairs. Before you walk through the door at the top, look at the Workbench on your left. Open the drawer there to collect your next cylinder.

The last recording is found in the fifth chapter. You will find yourself on the deck of a Sunken Pirate Ship. Look for a Small Chest sitting to the right of the mast. Inside is the final audio log of the story.
