To master the fast-paced Hack and Slash combat of Morbid Metal, you need to spend your Void Matter wisely.

Essential Early Enhancements

You must pick Perfect Dodge before you can do anything else. This move lets you counter enemies and is the foundation of your defense. Once that is done, put your points into Iron Resilience to increase your total health. 

It is also smart to grab Boot Repository so you always find a repository room at the very start of a new loop. If you want to level up faster, invest in Ka-Ching! because it increases the Void Matter you collect after finishing a fight.

New Features for Your Runs

You can make your Roguelike runs more interesting by unlocking new encounters and mechanics. Get Run Bargain so the Devil’s Bargain starts appearing while you play. These offer high-risk rewards that can change your entire strategy in Morbid Metal.

You should also unlock Run Corpora Enhancer to bring that machine into your games for better perks. If you want to use it more than once, keep upgrading Additional Corpora Enhancements until you hit the plus two limit.

Boosting Your Power

For more strength in battle, look at Skill Issue to make your regular moves do more damage. Pair this with Overclocking so you don't have to wait as long for your skills to cool down. 

You can also buy Attack Speed Augments up to ten times to help you strike much faster during Boss Fights. 

Finally, get Body Augmentation to open up extra slots for your Character Routines. After you take care of these main items, the rest of your points can go toward whatever fits your playstyle in Morbid Metal.
