Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Guide | How to Find Charcadet Early and Evolve into Armarouge

Charcadet is one of those Pokémon that the game claims is “found everywhere,” yet it can still feel hard to spot when you are actively looking for it. If you want an early catch and a quick evolution into Armarouge, you only need one reliable spawn area and a simple trade that unlocks the evolution item.

Where To Find Charcadet Early

Start by searching the first early location shown on the map, just off the path near the big main city area. This spot can often spawn Charcadet, so it is possible to find it here repeatedly. When you arrive, scan the nearby wild Pokémon and keep moving through the area until Charcadet appears. Once you see it, start the encounter and catch it.

If the first spot does not show it right away, you can also check the second location mentioned in the route. However, the first location is presented as a consistent spawn, so it is a strong place to begin.

Head to Zapapico for the evolution item.

After catching Charcadet, travel to the town used for the evolution step, called Zapapico. This is the place where you can get the item needed to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge. The NPC you need is near a fountain, so head toward the central fountain area and look for the person who offers the trade.

Trade For Auspicious Armor

The NPC in Zapapico asks for Bronzor Fragments. Once you give the required fragments, you receive the evolution item called Auspicious Armor. This item works like an evolution stone. After you have it, you can immediately evolve Charcadet whenever you are ready.

Farm Bronzor Fragments Fast

To get Bronzor Fragments, you need to defeat Bronzor. The route points to ruins as a good place to find them, since Bronzor can spawn around ruin areas. Head to a nearby ruin location, battle Bronzor, and collect enough fragments. Once you have enough, return to the NPC in Zapapico and complete the trade.

Evolve Charcadet Into Armarouge

Open your bag and find Auspicious Armor. Use it on Charcadet to trigger the evolution. The item appears in your inventory, and once you select it, the evolution starts right away.
