Deemed as one of the coziest and chillest games on the market, Stardew Valley is still being talked about, played and updated to this day. Currently, the developer Eric Barone is working on their second game called “Haunted Chocolatier” and cannot focus on Stardew Valley as much as they used to. However, with a recent tweet only reading “iridium scythe” on their Twitter profile, they have confirmed that there is a new update in the works for Stardew Valley and certainly hyped up the regular players.
In previous balance notes, Eric Barone stated there will be updates for Stardew Valley that will focus on its tools a lot more in the future, so most of the people knew what sort of content to be added in the next update. In Stardew Valley, there are grades of tools from wood to golden, and the highest ranking grade of material is called iridium. Just like Minecraft’s obsidian, iridium is quite durable and the scythe version will make the harvesting, cleaning and feeding quite easy and fast. The words “iridium scythe” does not only mean the scythe will get updated though, there are possibilities of new tools being added as well as new tweaks in general that will balance the overall gameplay of Stardew Valley.
Since the community of Stardew Valley is still thriving, there are a lot of additions and fixes by the community, whether it's about an annoying bug or little implementations to keep the gameplay healthy. We are pretty sure the developer have been taking notice of these creations and will be addressed in the upcoming 1.6 update for the Stardew Valley.
The 1.6 update for Stardew Valley does not have a confirmed date yet, but we can expect it to be released soon since it was teased on Twitter not too long ago.
