Arknights: Endfield Promises Big as PlayStation Preparing for Other Indie Gems
Arknights: Endfield gets a big spotlight, alongside updates on Possessor(s) and Lethal Honor.

We've been seeing a flood of gameplay previews lately, and while some of them are for massive blockbuster releases, a few quieter titles are sneaking into the conversation. One of those is Arknights: Endfield, a free-to-play 3D RPG that just dropped a 15-minute gameplay demo.
It's not making as much noise as the big-budget games, but this one has potential, and the new footage gives a clearer picture of what to expect. We also have updates on two smaller games, including Possessor(s) and Lethal Honor - Order of the Apocalypse.

A Free-to-Play RPG With Style Over Spectacle
Now talking about Arknights: Endfield, the first thing worth mentioning is that this isn't going to be the kind of title that wows people with cutting-edge visuals. It's not trying to be a graphical powerhouse. In the footage shown, dynamic environments looked surprisingly impressive, and traversal seemed smooth and fun. This is the type of game where style goes a long way.
The world itself, known as Talos-II, is a dangerous planet filled with risk. Humanity's first settlers carved out a small foothold here, building a colony with massive walls to keep out threats (Attack on Titan, is that you?). They managed to create a foundation for survival, but the vast lands stretching beyond those walls remain unseen.
Exploration and expansion are at the heart of the game's narrative. Originium engines and automated factories churn away in the wildlands, and you will be encouraged to explore and gather resources.
The Mystery of the Endministrator
At the center of the story is the Endministrator, a mysterious figure leading Enfield Industries. According to Talos-II's history, this person has been important in protecting civilization and saving the world from disasters.
Their identity is still a mystery. Rumors swirl about their mastery of Originium, their connection to the planet's protocol network, and their long periods of hibernation. The 15-minute demo doesn't give away everything.
Fighting Blight and Surviving the Agello
You will need to fight back against blight infestations by scanning their structures and destroying them. Another threat comes in the form of anchors that spawn creatures called Aggeloi. Destroying an anchor's core is the only way to stop the Aggeloi.
The devs have been testing Arknights: Endfield for about nine months, running betas, and the newest demo is promising. Towards the end of the video, a massive boss fight takes center stage, giving a glimpse of the game's scale. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten a release date, but HYPERGRYPH seems to be pointing toward 2026 as the likely launch window.
Possessor(s): A Side-Scrolling Adventure
The first is Possessor(s), an action-adventure side-scroller from Heart Machine. Published by Devolver Digital, the game puts players in the shoes of Luca, a high schooler trapped in the ruins of Szu City after a catastrophe. Luca, badly injured, makes a desperate pact with Rem, a demon searching for a host (another anime reference comes to mind: Death Note, is that you?).
It combines elements of Metroidvania exploration with platform fighter-inspired combat. The action leans heavily on pulling off flashy aerial combos and using weapons like anything from a kitchen knife to a guitar or even a computer mouse.
It's not just about fighting, though. The bond between Luca and Rem grows throughout the game. Each district of the city has its own identity and challenges, and beneath the action lies a deeper story about survival. With hand-drawn characters and 3D environments, Possessor(s) promises to be one to watch when it launches on November 11.

Lethal Honor: Roguelike Horror on PS5
The other title, arriving a bit sooner, is Lethal Honor - Order of the Apocalypse, releasing on October 7. This one is a roguelike hack-and-slash packed with eldritch horror. You join a secret society tasked with battling paranormal activities to protect humanity. Every run through the game is procedurally generated.
Hand-drawn comic panels are seen in gameplay, creating a graphic novel-like look. Its combat is fast and brutal, demanding precision and strategy. Each run reveals new parts of its dark story centered around Wolf Island, and multiple playable characters offer variety through unique storylines (and abilities).
Plenty of Variety for PlayStation Fans
So, to sum it all up: Arknights: Endfield is the showstopper. Indie fans also have two exciting PS5 releases right around the corner—Possessor(s) on November 11 and Lethal Honor: Order of the Apocalypse on October 7. So for you PS5 guys, this news will delight you.
