Arknights: Endfield Guide | How to Atrifice Gears
Here’s a guide on how to Atrifice Gears in Arknights: Endfield.

Gear Artificing is the process of making your characters stronger by making their gear better in terms of stats. If you use extra gear and special materials, you can greatly boost values like Willpower, Agility, or Intellect.
This system is powerful, but it costs a lot of money and takes a long time to learn how to use. This guide tells you how to start upgrading, where to find the tools you need, and which stats you should focus on first.

Beginning the Artificing Process
First, go to build mode and open the Gear Assembly menu. Then, at the top, click on the Artificing tab. In Arknights: Endfield, pick the piece of gear you want to improve and the stat you want to raise.
To upgrade, you have to use a different piece of gear of the same type as a resource. For instance, you can only use Gloves to make other Gloves better. You can upgrade each stat three times without any problems.
Every time you try, you have a chance of failing, but the more times you try, the better your chances of success. Keep in mind that the failure rate goes up a lot when you reach the second and third upgrade levels.
Because of this, you'll need to make a lot of extra gear to use as parts for your main items.

Getting Wuling Catalysts and Stock Bills
A Wuling Catalyst is needed for every attempt at artificing. You can get these at the Wuling Shop in the Stock Redistribution section of your Outpost Management screen. The first few are low on stock and cost only 12,000 Wuling Stock Bills.
Once the cheap stock is gone, though, the price goes up to 60,000 and then 120,000 per catalyst. You will need a steady stream of Wuling Stock Bills in Arknights: Endfield because catalysts are so expensive.
You can get these by doing a number of things. You can make money every day by selling LC Wuling Batteries or Jincao Drink in Outpost Management. You can also make money with Elastic Goods by buying things for a low price and selling them at a friend's base.
With Depot Nodes, you can deliver goods and get paid between 80,000 and 100,000 bills. Lastly, look in Environment Monitoring for photo jobs. They don't come up very often, but they pay more than 200,000 bills for each task.

Putting Stats and Characters First
Before you worry about your side team, you should put all of your resources into your main damage-dealing character. The Main Stat on your gear has a yellow icon, and the Secondary Stat has a silver outline.
You should almost always look at the Main Stat first because it has the biggest effect on how strong you are.
The game gives you a "Good Match" bonus when you upgrade Secondary Stats, which makes it more likely that you'll win. However, it's usually better to save your Wuling Catalysts for Main Stats.
Also, look at the Skill Effects on your gear, like Battle Skill Damage Bonuses, because these can sometimes be worth more than just getting more stats.
