To increase your character's level cap, you need to collect specific promotion materials. These items let you push past level 20 and level 40.

You will also need T-Creds and Protodisks, which you earn by playing through domains and missions. Here is how you find the mushrooms needed for these upgrades.

Promoting Characters to Level 40

To move from level 20 to level 40, you need a Pink Bolete. You can find these early in the game within the main hub. Look at your map for icons that look like Rare Growths.

These spots usually hold up to six mushrooms. It takes a full 24 hours for a single mushroom to grow back, so you should visit these spots every day to keep your supply high in Arknights: Endfield.

Finding Pink Bolete in Other Regions

You can find more Pink Bolete in the Valley Paws area. Look on the left side of that map. To reach them, you have to walk around the loop and jump across to a high ledge. Make sure to unlock the zip line while you are there so you can get back easily next time.

There are also nodes in the Originium Science Park. One node is near the center, and another is tucked behind a breakable rock wall at the top right. You will need a bomb to get to those eight mushrooms.

Promoting Characters to Level 60

Once your character reaches level 40, you will need Red Bolete to reach level 60. Each promotion costs five of these red mushrooms in Arknights: Endfield.

You will find these after you pass through the Originium Science Park and enter the Origin Lodespring. The first spot has six mushrooms. As you finish more missions, you will find two more spots further north that have 10 mushrooms each.

Understanding the Level Cap

Even if you use a Red Bolete to unlock the level 60 cap, your actual level might still be restricted. Your World Exploration Level determines how high your characters can actually go.

For example, if you are at exploration level three, your characters will stop at level 50 even if the cap is technically 60. You will need to reach exploration level four before you can use those last 10 levels in Arknights: Endfield.
