Open world battles against an Energy Alluvium can be difficult to handle alone, but using Turrets makes them much simpler.

By setting up a defensive perimeter before the fight starts, you can distract and damage enemies while you stay safe. This guide explains how to use these tools for both one-time crisis events and permanent severe challenges.

Types of Energy Alluvium

There are two main versions of these battles found on the map. The blue icons marked as Handle Crisis are one-time events that disappear once you finish them in Arknights: Endfield.

The more difficult ones are the Severe Alluvium, which are marked with a distinct icon and stay on the map permanently. These harder battles require Sanity to collect rewards, but are the primary way to earn Essences.

Setting Up Your Turrets

Before you fight, open your inventory and put your machines all over the place. Standard Turrets do damage, Grenade Launchers do heavy damage, and Sonic Towers stun and slow down enemies that are coming toward you.

You should remember that you can't put these machines too close together; there needs to be a small space between each one. After you've set up your defenses, you need to give them power.

You can either power Relay Towers and Electric Pylons from a nearby source or put batteries right into each machine. They only need power for a short time, so a few batteries should be enough for the whole battle.

Fighting and Managing Resources

When your machines are powered on and ready, turn on the Energy Alluvium. The turrets will start shooting at spawns right away, which will help keep people from looking at you.

You can also choose specific Essences to boost your stats, like Agility, Strength, or Physical Damage, in a Severe Alluvium. If your defense is strong enough, the machines can often finish the fight without much help from you.

You can interact with each machine after the fight and choose Stash to put them back in your inventory. This also saves any battery life you have left for your next fight.

Long-Term Farming

Since a Severe Alluvium does not disappear, you can choose to leave your Turrets in place if you plan to return frequently.

This saves you the time of setting them up every day. As long as you keep them supplied with Batteries, you can quickly farm these locations whenever your Sanity is full. Using this method turns a ten-minute struggle into a quick and easy task in Arknights: Endfield.
