To get Overpowered early on in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, you need to track down the right Weapons, Gear, and Upgrades. These items reduce your time spent gathering Crafting Resources and keep you looking sharp on the ocean.

Turn Your Crew Into Skeletons

You can visit a small market island early in the game to purchase choices for your Pirate Ship. The best option here is the Skeleton Crew unlock in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

Buying this turns the sailors on the Jackdaw into bones, changes their animations, and lets you find undead crew members across the Open World. You need 206 bones to get this look. You can hunt wildlife and hope they drop bones, but you can also speed things up.

Visit the Treasure Dealer on the docks of your Home Island. Spend money on his business early so you can buy bones directly from his shop.

Gather More Crafting Supplies

Trinkets give you passive boosts that make Farming Items much faster. You should look for the Exotic Seashells trinket early by searching between two buildings in Havana. Open the Treasure Chest there to get the shell.

It increases the materials you receive when skinning animals. You need these skins to upgrade things for Edward Kenway, like your health or your pistol holsters. For sea travel, sail to the west side of the map to Sacrifice Island in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

Look on the shoreline for a chest containing the Anchor Medallion. This item increases the loot you scoop up from the ocean, which cuts down your Naval Grind.

Find Free Outfits and Firearms

You can get high-tier gear for free by exploring specific islands. Head to Black Island and climb up to the northern ridges to find a chest. You can buy the Officer's Blade early from any General Store to get a maximum chain stat of four, which lets you kill four guards in a row after one Perfect Parry. The Treasure Dealer on your home docks also sells the Matched Golden Swords.

These blades deal 25 damage, keep the four-kill chain, and have a perk that increases your lunging distance during a chain so distant enemies cannot back away.

You can also find the Cannon-Barrel Pistols inside a chest hidden in a western cove. They look just like miniature naval cannons in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

Use Animus Keys and Project Paths

Look for glowing Animus Keys floating around the world map and pick them up whenever you see them.

Hold down your touchpad to open the main Animus Menu and go to the exchange tab. Here, you can trade your keys for classic rewards like Connor's Robes or three special weapons. Ezio's Swords let you parry unstoppable attacks from heavy brute enemies.

Altair's Swords heal your health bar every time you finish a takedown chain. Naoe's Shadowblade gives you a four-kill chain and makes the timing window wider to land a Perfect Parry or Perfect Dodge in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.
