Pokémon Pokopia Guide | How to Get the Rainbow Feather

The Rainbow Feather is one of the more unusual items in Pokémon Pokopia. You do not find it in a normal chest or on the ground. Instead, you need to wait for Ho-Oh to appear in the sky and drop it. The process can feel random at first, but it becomes much easier once you know what conditions to look for.

How to Make Ho-Oh Spawn

To get the Rainbow Feather, watch for a clear sky with very few clouds. This seems to work best at night, since the sky is easier to read and Ho-Oh is easier to spot. The appearance is still random, so you may need to keep changing the in-game time or date until you get the right weather and sky.

A clear night is the best setup. Once the sky looks right, keep looking around and wait for Ho-Oh to fly over the area. When it appears, it will drop the Rainbow Feather below.

Where the Rainbow Feather Drops

When Ho-Oh flies across the sky, the Rainbow Feather will fall to the ground. At that point, the main job is reaching it before it disappears. This is where things can get awkward, especially if the feather lands in a higher spot or a difficult area.

The example in the attachment shows the feather dropping into a place that needed a quick climb. There were no blocks ready at first, so the path had to be dug out and rebuilt on the spot. That means speed matters. Once the feather lands, move quickly and make a direct route to it.

How to Reach the Rainbow Feather Fast

Grab blocks right away and build up if the feather drops somewhere hard to get to. If you don't have enough supplies ready, dig a quick path through the area to get in. The object is to get to it before it disappears.

It's easy to do this part, but you need to act quickly. As fast as you can, build, climb, and close the gap. It's best to have the building supplies ready before you try to start the event because a delay can cost the item.

How to Collect the Rainbow Feather

Once you get close, switch to the Water Gun and make sure the target is on fire. After that, collect the Rainbow Feather. When you have it, you can take it to Gim.
