The fact that Larvitar often shows up in higher-level zones can make it feel like a late pickup. But there is a faster way to do it. You can catch one in the teens if you head to a spot near the lighthouse at the very bottom of the map. The development line is easy to follow from there. You only need levels, so regular training or a few candies will get you through the whole chain.Where To Find A Low-Level Larvitar
A reliable early Larvitar spot is close to the lighthouse in the far southern area. Open your map and head to the location shown near the bottom of Paldea. You will be near the swirling mountain shapes, and the Larvitar can appear in the open space around that area. If you are early in the game, you can reach it by traveling up through the path, crossing the land bridge, and entering the clear patch where it can respawn within the same location.

Catch Larvitar And Check Its Level
Once you see Larvitar, start the encounter and catch it. The example here appears around the high teens, which is much lower than most other spawn options. If you do not see one immediately, loop through the same open space and check again, since it can respawn there.
How To Evolve Larvitar Into Pupitar
After you catch Larvitar, evolve it at level 30. You can do this naturally through battles, or you can speed it up with Exp. Candy. If your Larvitar is already close, one candy level-up can trigger the evolution quickly.

How To Evolve Pupitar Into Tyranitar
Once you have Pupitar, the final evolution is also level-based. Pupitar evolves into Tyranitar at level 55, with no extra conditions required.

Keep leveling through battles, raids, or candies until it hits level 55, and the evolution will happen automatically.
