Pokémon Pokopia Guide | How To Till Soil And Plant Seeds

Start farming in Pokémon Pokopia by unlocking Rototiller, tilling soil, planting seeds, and watering them until they grow.

Farming only works after you unlock the right transformation. Once you have it, the rest is a simple routine. You prepare the soil, place a seed, and water it daily. The main mistake people make is trying to farm before they have a Rototiller, because the game will not let you till the soil without it.

Unlock Rock Smash And Head To Withered Wasteland

First, unlock Rock Smash. After that, travel to Withered Wasteland and move through the path shown in the route. Keep going until you reach the area where you can head left toward the drill spot. This is the checkpoint that tells you you’re on the right track for the farming unlock.

Talk to Drilbur to get a Rototiller

At the drill area, speak to Drilbur and complete the small request tied to him. Completing this request unlocks Rototiller, the farming transformation. This name matters. It is Rototiller, not “Rottiller,” and the helper here is Drilbur, not a separate NPC name.

Till Soil, Plant Seeds, Then Water Them Every Day

Once the Rototiller is unlocked, find a patch of soil and use it to till. After the ground is prepared, plant a seed in the tilled spot. Then water it every day using a water gun. This is the same Water Gun used for watering and restoring dry areas, so it becomes a core tool once farming begins.

How Long Seeds Take To Grow

Seed growth is time-based. A planted seed takes about 3 days to fully develop in real time. Keep watering daily to stay consistent. If watering feels slow later on, upgrades like sprinklers or using Water-type helpers can make the routine easier, but the basic method stays the same: till, plant, water, and wait.
