Pokémon Pokopia Guide | What To Do With Rainbow And Silver Feathers

As you explore Pokémon Pokopia, you may hear the cry of a Legendary Pokémon overhead. When that happens, look up. You may spot Ho-Oh or Lugia flying across the sky. These rare sightings can leave behind a Rainbow Feather or a Silver Feather. The items look important, and they are. But the game does not explain their use very clearly. Here is what you need to do with them.

How To Get Rainbow And Silver Feathers

When you see Ho-Oh or Lugia in the sky, head to the place where the item drops. To pick up the Rainbow Feather, put water on it. To collect the Silver Feather, use Cut to slice through the wind around it. Once you have picked them up, keep them safe. These feathers are later used as trade items.

Where To Use Rainbow And Silver Feathers

You can trade both feathers to a specific Pokémon in Rocky Ridges. Start from the Pokémon Center in the first area and head across the beach. Go through the rocks, then pass through the gate. This path opens once you reach Great Trainer Rank. If you can access the Vermilion City area, you can also reach this location.

From there, enter Rocky Ridges. This is also where you find Chef Dende, who helps power up your moves with special meals. Keep moving through the area, go past the broken Pokémon Center, and continue toward the cave path.

How To Reach The Trading Pokémon

To go deeper, you need Dende’s Special Cut. Without it, this route stays blocked. Go up the steps and enter the cave system. Cut through the gates inside, follow the path, and keep taking the right turns. This leads to a lava area. Cross it by making a small route with blocks or by building a path across.

At the end of this route, you will find Gimmighoul.

What Gimmighoul Gives You

Gimmighoul wants rare items, and both the Rainbow Feather and Silver Feather count. Talk to him and give him what you collected. In return, he gives you special furniture. You can trade as many feathers as you want, and he will keep taking them. He can reward you with things like music notes, a table, and other rare decorative items.

You can also bring him a Lost Relic. If you want to recruit Gimmighoul, you need to create his specific habitat first. That part is separate from the feather trade.
