Here’s a guide on how to craft Tools and Weapons in Soulmask.

In this game, you cannot build things until you learn how. To unlock new items, you need to earn experience. You get this experience by doing basic tasks like gathering or fighting. Once you have enough points, you can open your Technology Tree by pressing Y.

This is where you spend your points to get new blueprints. If you haven't learned a recipe yet, you won't see it in your crafting menu, so keep an eye on your Technology Tree level.

Your First Tools and Weapons

Gathering is a huge part of this Open World Survival Game. You should start by learning how to make Stone Tools. After that, look for the blueprint that lets you make Water Bottles, Bug Nets, and Luminous Waist Lamps.

The Water Bottles help you stay hydrated, and the Bug Nets let you catch insects to power your Luminous Waist Lamps for light at night.

For defense, Soulmask has many options, but starting with a Spear is a solid choice. To make your first set of gear, you will need to find Branches on the ground in Soulmask.

Once you have them, you can craft a Pickaxe for mining, a Stone Axe for wood, a Scythe for gathering plants, and a Butcher Knife for skinning animals.

Improving Your Resource Yield

It is very important to upgrade your tools as soon as you can. You will start with a Stone Axe, but later you can make a Bone Axe and then a Bronze Axe. A better tool does more than just work faster. It also gives you better items.

For example, if you hit a Tin Ore mine with a basic Stone Pickaxe, you will mostly just get Stone. But if you use a Bronze Pickaxe, you will get a lot of Tin very quickly. Always aim for the highest tier tool available to make your Resource Gathering more efficient.

Understanding Item Quality and Combat

Every time you craft an item, it is assigned a quality color. These go from White to Green, Blue, Purple, Gold, and Red. Since your character starts at a low level, most things you make will be White, which is the basic version in Soulmask.

However, you might get lucky and craft a Green item, like a Green Scythe or a Green Wooden Spear. If you want a better version of a weapon, you can try crafting it multiple times.

When you get into your first fight with Wildlife, remember to move around. You can dodge a charge and then hit back with a thrust from your Spear.

After the animal is down, pull out your Butcher Knife. You must use the right tool for the job to get the best materials from your kills. Using a knife instead of a random weapon ensures you get the useful bits you need for later in Soulmask.
