Growing Crops can be a big step if you want to gather food and make your survival life easier. But before you could do so, you need to know the basics, and collect some materials to grow your crops.

Making Fertilizer and Planting Crops

Plants have varied dietary needs. To create Compost, combine Fiber, Thatch, and Vine with Tree Bark.

This works well for plants like Cotton or Aloe. Other plants, like Corn, might need Bone Fertilizer instead. When you are ready to plant, use Farmland. It is best to place your Farmland on a flat Foundation, like a Thatch Foundation, so the ground does not cover up your crops.

Steps for Efficient Farming

To maximize your Soulmask space, arrange your crops in tidy rows, hugging the borders of your Farmland.

Aloe Seeds will sprout in roughly 45 minutes. For additional seeds, consider foraging from wild plants or searching through chests concealed within Ruins.

If your plants are getting munched on, consider letting a Turkey roam near them. The turkey will finish up the pests, safeguarding your garden.
