In Soulmask, it is very easy to run into an enemy that is much stronger than you. If a fight goes wrong or someone sneaks up on you, you might end up dead. To avoid a long walk back to your body, you should leave a trail of Campfires as you move away from your main base.

These act as a Respawn Point as long as they are burning. If you keep these active, you won't have to run across the entire Soulmask Map to get your gear back.

Crafting and Fueling Your Fire

Building a Campfire is simple and only requires five Fiber, five Branches, and five Stone. Once you unlock the ability in your Technology Tree, you can craft one directly from your menu. After you place it, make sure to put some Wood inside.

A basic fire might only last for 16 minutes, but adding fuel can make it burn for over 3 hours. This ensures your Respawn Point stays viable for a long time while you explore in Soulmask.

Staying Prepared for Combat

You can slot the Campfire into your shortcut bar to place it quickly when you enter a dangerous area. Since Survival is the goal, having a lit fire nearby gives you a safety net.

If you die in battle, you will wake up right at the fire instead of miles away. Just remember to keep an eye on the timer and add more fuel whenever you pass by one of your sites in Soulmask.
