The land in this game is massive. It takes a long time to get from one end to the other on foot. When you start out, you need to watch the map closely. Icons will pop up as soon as you land in the world.

These marks show you where the important spots are. Knowing what they mean makes your travel much easier in Soulmask.

Visiting Ruins for Mask Materials

Look for question marks on your screen. These are Ruins. When you reach them, you can find building supplies and a special Currency.

This Currency is what you use to power up your Mask. You can find the upgrade options in your menu. If you want to make your Mask stronger, you have to stop at these Ruins to fill your pockets.

Gaining New Relic Abilities

Yellow icons are a big deal. These spots have the items you need to fix your Relic. Getting to a yellow marker lets you open a new Node in Soulmask.

This gives you a brand new skill instead of just a small boost. You might unlock something like Control from the top row of your skills this way. You should head toward these gold marks whenever you see them nearby.

Opening Up the Map

The eye symbol is for the Scout. You will find these in places like the Western Rainforest. When you see one, look for a Tribesman NPC.

You have to talk to the Tribesman and take what they know about the land. By stealing the brain power of the Tribesman, you clear away the Fog of War. New Waypoints will show up on your map after that. This is the best way to see where you are going and find new things to do.
