Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Get Leave Ending

The best psychological horror game, which influences almost every horror game today, just got a remake. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently the best way to experience this horror masterpiece.

Just like the original, this game features multiple endings. There are all six endings from the original, plus two more, for a total of eight possible endings. This game handles endings a little differently—rather than requiring you to make a certain dialogue decision to get the endings, your endings are determined by how the game is played.

The conditions are quite ambiguous—how frequently James is healed, how Maria is managed, and so on influence how your game finishes. Fortunately, the way to get the six original endings largely remains the same as they were in the original.

How To Get the Leave Ending

Most new players will end up with the Leave ending on their first playthrough because of its requirements. It requires you to keep James as healed as possible, which would be a natural necessity for a beginner, and to avoid checking in with Maria while you're in the Labyrinth and Brookhaven Hospital.

Plus, new players would never know that they should interact with Angela's Knife in their inventory in the first place. This ending is essentially about showing your loyalty to your wife, Mary, rather than developing feelings for Maria.

To put it simply, to get the Leave ending, you must heal James as much as possible and listen to the entire sickbed conversation between James and Mary in the hallway before the final boss.

Along with that, do not check on Maria in Brookhaven Hospital and the Labyrinth, and don't interact with Angela's Knife in your inventory.
