Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Get Maria Ending

The best psychological horror game, which influences almost every horror game today, just got a remake. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently the best way to experience this horror masterpiece.

Just like the original, this game features multiple endings. There are all six endings from the original, plus two more, for a total of eight possible endings. This game handles endings a little differently—rather than requiring you to make a certain dialogue decision to get the endings, your endings are determined by how the game is played.

The conditions are quite ambiguous—how frequently James is healed, how Maria is managed, and so on influence how your game finishes. Fortunately, the way to get the six original endings largely remains the same as they were in the original.

How To Get the Maria Ending

If you’re familiar with the Leave ending, you’ll notice that this ending essentially has you doing the exact opposite of what you needed to do to get the former.

In the Maria ending, you prioritize Maria over Mary, which is basically the opposite of the Leave ending. When she comes along with you throughout the game, you have to protect her as much as possible.

Keep her safe from harm and shield her from enemies. Then you have to go check on her in the Labyrinth and at Brookhaven Hospital when you can.

To further drive home the idea, you ought to avoid interacting with Mary's photo and her letter in your inventory. You should also skip the whole conversation that takes place on the sickbed between James and Mary at the end of the game before the final boss.
