Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Solve The Seesaw Puzzle

With the release of Silent Hill 2, a remake of Konami's best-known horror game, the company is back in business. This game is known for having a lot of hard, confusing puzzles that can take a long time to solve, and the Silent Hill 2 remake sometimes gets too carried away with them. The Coin Puzzle and the Hospital's Box Puzzle are likely to stick out in your mind because they're fun to complete. In this guide, we'll show you how to solve the Seesaw Puzzle.

Located in Room 210 of the Blue Creek Apartments, you’ll come across this puzzle when you’re going to complete the Clock Puzzle – yes, a puzzle within a puzzle, good one, Konami… The door to this room will unlock when the Hour Hand of the clock points at 9 o’clock; view our Clock Puzzle Guide if you need help with that.

After the door opens, you’ll need to break a wall within the room to access the Bathroom and interact with the toilet to get your hands on the Minute Hand – you’ll need to do it thrice. Once you get the Minute Hand, Room 210 will lock itself; your only way out is by completing the Seesaw Puzzle, for which you’ll need the listed items:

• Pigeon Figurin
• Swan Head
• Malformed Figurine

How to Find Pigeon Figurine

To find the Pigeon Figurine, leave the Bathroom and head into Room 210. This causes a Cabinet Door to break and fall. You’ll then spot the Pigeon Figurine—you can place it on the seesaw next to the television.

How to Find Swan Head

To find the Swan Head, you’ll need to make your way to the Hallway of Room 210; there’s a breakable wall on the right when you exit the room. Break it to unveil another part of the room, and you’ll spot enemies when you do so, so be careful. Once you defeat the enemies, you’ll spot the Swan Head dangling on the rope next to a lamp.

How to Find Malformed Figurine

To find the malformed, you’ll need to make your way to Room 209. Head into the bathroom, and you’ll find the Malformed Figurine in the shower. You need to break the glass to get your hands on it.

Once in your possession combine the Swan Head with the Malformed Figurine in your inventory to make a Swan Figure.

How to Solve the Puzzle

To solve the puzzle, head back to the Room 210 seesaw, since the Pigeon Figurine is at the edge you’ll need to balance the seesaw by placing the Swan Figurine on the second hole from the center.

This will cause the seesaw to break off giving you the Winged Key – you can use this key to unlock the door on the left of the television, and the adjacent room will let you get back to the first floor.
