Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Get Rebirth Ending

The best psychological horror game, which influences almost every horror game today, just got a remake. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently the best way to experience this horror masterpiece.

Just like the original, this game features multiple endings. There are all six endings from the original, plus two more, for a total of eight possible endings. This game handles endings a little differently—rather than requiring you to make a certain dialogue decision to get the endings, your endings are determined by how the game is played.

The conditions are quite ambiguous—how frequently James is healed, how Maria is managed, and so on influence how your game finishes. Fortunately, the way to get the six original endings largely remains the same as they were in the original.

This guide will show you how to get the Rebirth Ending in the Silent Hill 2 Remake.

How To Get the Rebirth Ending

The Rebirth Ending is only available during a New Game+ playthrough, as it requires you to collect four special items that are unlocked in this second run. These items, in the order you come across them, are the Crimson Ceremony Book, White Chrism, Obsidian Goblet, and Lost Memories Book.

The Crimson Ceremony book can be found at the graveyard where Angela first appears in the game. Look for a lone tomb by a tree along the shore; the book will be in front of it.

The White Chrism is in South Vale, west of Jack's Inn. After going past the inn, go into the Baldwin Mansion's entryway and discover it on a table.

The Obsidian Goblet is hidden within the Silent Hill Historical Society. Turn around in the main room and look for the Pyramid Head painting in a wall crevice to the right.

Finally, the Lost Memories book is found in Lakeside Hotel's Lost & Found department. It replaces the Lost & Found Note that is usually found in that location on your first playthrough.

Once you've gathered all four items, simply finish the game again, and you'll unlock the Rebirth ending.
