The best psychological horror game, which influences almost every horror game today, just got a remake. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently the best way to experience this horror masterpiece.

Just like the original, this game features multiple endings. There are all six endings from the original, plus two more, for a total of eight possible endings. This game handles endings a little differently—rather than requiring you to make a certain dialogue decision to get the endings, your endings are determined by how the game is played.

The conditions are quite ambiguous—how frequently James is healed, how Maria is managed, and so on influence how your game finishes. Fortunately, the way to get the six original endings largely remains the same as they were in the original.

How To Get the In Water Ending

To get the In Water ending, you must let James take as much damage as possible and avoid healing him whenever you can. Leave him in a weakened state with the red blood effect clearly seen on the screen as much as you can after he has been attacked.

You also want to continue to interact with Angela's Knife frequently in your inventory. Throughout the game, you should absolutely avoid looking at Mary's Photo and her Letter.

Make sure you also watch the entire cutscene of James and Mary's whole sickbed conversation in the hallway that takes place just before the last boss to guarantee this ending.
