Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Get UFO Ending

It’s the spooky season, and what a time to revisit the remake of one of the most influential classic horror games that tick all the boxes. Konami is back again with the remake of its most iconic horror game, Silent Hill 2. There are eight possible endings in the Silent Hill 2 remake, six from the original and two completely new. But the way the game makes you discover the endings is a bit unconventional…

Instead of relying on decisions in the story with your selection of certain dialogues to get your ending and what decisions you make that directly affect the plot. The Silent Hill 2 ending is determined by how the game is played through certain specific mechanics. For example, how much you heal James and how characters like Maria are managed can be quite unclear and vague.

In this guide, we will discuss how to get the ever-funny Easter egg UFO Ending in the Silent Hill 2 Remake.

How to get the UFO Ending

For the UFO ending found in NewGame+, you’ll need to get your hands on the Blue Gem and then use it in three different areas within the map.

1. The rooftop of Saul Street Apartments, in Saul Street

2. At Rosewater Park, near the telescope

3. Lakeview Hotel

Firstly, you need to get your hands on the Blue Gem. For that, you’ll need to break the window of the storefront north of Big Jay’s on Neely Street. The Blue Gem will be inside the jewelry box.

After you get your hands on the Blue Gem, go to the rooftop stated on the magazine cover (the roof of Saul Apartment) on Saul Street. Once you make it to the apartment, the path will take you to the roof; whereas you get closer, you’ll hear creepy alien sci-fi noises. Inspect the Blue Gem. The Blue Gem will begin to glow, and you’ll hear more strange noises.

For the second location, you’ll need to make your way to the pier on Rosewater Park. You should hear the UFO sounds after you leave Blue Creeks Apartments as you make your way closer to the telescope near the edge of the water of Toluca Lake. When you are at the spot, reach into your inventory and investigate the Blue Gem.

The last location is somewhere inside the Lakeview Hotel. We’re not quite sure where the exact location is; you’ll have to do a bit of exploring.
