S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a sequel that carries the legacy of the previous games and goes a notch higher than what an open-world survival game can offer. It was developed in extremes, as it is a work of art and a shield of GSC Game World. There’s a legendary artifact known as Liquid Rock that provides maximum radiation protection. In this guide, I’ll show you how to get your hands on it.

The Best Location to find Liquid Rock is in Garbage

To start, head to the Slag Heap in the Lesser Zone, then travel to the Poisonous Hole. Here, we'll be using a method called Save Scumming to repeatedly respawn the artifact until we get Liquid Rock.

Preparation

Pull up your Compass. For the best results, try to stay around 150 meters away from the location to be safe. Then, save your game.

Approaching the Artifact

Head toward the Poisonous Field and equip your artifact detector (I’m using the Hilka Detector, but you may still have the Echo Detector). As you enter the field, you’ll notice the artifact appears on your radar; carefully make your way toward it, keeping an eye on the toxic anomalies along the way.

This legendary artifact offers maximum chemical and radiation protection and is worth 60,000 coupons. It can be found in acid anomalies, not just the Poisonous Hole.

How Save Scumming Works

For Save Scumming, stay within 100 to 150 meters of the Poisonous Hole to ensure the artifact spawn is set to that location. If you haven’t been close enough, the artifact may respond as something different. To reset the spawn, you’ll need to wait for a mission to trigger the reset.
