The Outer Worlds 2 Guide | How to Get Gary Armor (Tentacle)

The Outer Worlds 2 has its fair share of unique armor sets, but the Gary stands out as one of the more entertaining options out of the lot. Primarily because of its tentacle abilities.

Instead of dealing in passive stat bonuses, this armor uses its tentacles during combat, allowing you to destroy enemies with it.

Aside from its combat, this armor also makes humorous remarks, making the fights more entertaining. If you kill five enemies using this tentacle attack, you will unlock the Scary Gary Adversary Achievement.

Before getting the armor, you'll want to make sure that you've progressed enough in The Outer Worlds 2 storyline.

Because you will need a special gadget called the Rift Anemaly Modulator. This gadget is necessary because you'll need to interact with dimensional rifts, and that's how you access the armor using it.

The modulator will be located on Praetor, and it's going to be a part of the main story progression. 

After collecting the gadget, you will need to head to Eden. From the landing zone, you'll want to travel toward the bridge fast travel point. 

When you face away from the bridge and move slightly back, you'll notice that there is a glowing rift slightly away from the pathway. You will be able to locate it on the mini-map.

When you interact with the rift using the Modulator, it will transport the character that's standing beside it into it, where you will be able to get the Gary armor.

Gary will be in a transformed state where you will be able to collect his armor. Beside the suit, there will also be a toss ball card, which you can also collect.

After that, you will be able to utilize the armor to its fullest alongside its voice lines.

Gary's damage output is directly correlated to the Science and Medical skill level, making them particularly important when using the suit to maximize its effectiveness. This fun armor set not only acts as a useful tool but also adds a bit of comedic relief in The Outer Worlds 2.
