The Outer Worlds 2 Guide | Mechanical Matriarch Quest

The Mechanical Matriarch quest in The Outer Worlds 2 takes place on Praetor, a hostile planet. The quest requires you to help Auntie Cleo find her  mechanical body.

Once you land in Praetor, you want to clear out the enemies patrolling the area and then head towards the deeper portions of the facility until you reach a sealed laboratory.

Inside the room, there will be a computer that you can use to unlock the armour containment. Opening it will reveal the first mechanical suit. You can interact with it to access the inventory. 

You might be confused about where it might be in your inventory, but you’ll be able to find it at the very bottom.

Float Ability

When you keep the armour, it has a special ability that lets you float across danger zones. You’ll be able to fly by holding the jump button; doing so helps you navigate through the elevator terminals inside the facility, especially the area with the laser traps.

After going past the laser traps, head into the control station to interact with the terminal to deactivate the lasers to open another route.

Take me forward until you find a hidden door deeper into the facility, and he’ll lead you to the lower research level.

Retrieving the Mechanical Body

Once you’re in the hidden section, there will be a large chamber that you can enter, and go towards the containment part of the very end.

It is there that you will find the actual mechanical body of Auntie Cleo; collecting it will trigger the final part of the quest.

Head back to the ACS Undisputed Claim, elevator to Auntie Cleo's office to deliver the body.

A short conversation will conclude the Mechanical Matriarch quest, rewarding you with XP and two distinct armour sets.
