Easter Eggs You May Have Missed in the Wolverine Reveal
Insomniac's trailer shows fans exactly what they've been waiting for.

It finally happened. After years of waiting, Marvel fans were treated to the first official reveal trailer for Insomniac's Wolverine.
This wasn't just a cinematic tease. It was a bloody showcase of what's to come, with fans already counting down the days until launch. Buckle up, because Insomniac is clearly "clawing" back in.

Madripoor and the Princess Bar Confirmed
The trailer opens with a shot showing Logan walking into a bar, and not just any bar. Fans of the comics immediately recognized it as the Princess Bar, a location in Madripoor. This city has been a major hub in Wolverine's history, sort of like Gotham for Batman.
This was déjà vu, since the bar looked almost identical to the one teased in Insomniac's brief reveal trailer years ago. A quick glimpse at someone behind the counter suggests Tyger Tiger will also make an appearance.
A Canadian Connection
The trailer then shifts to a plane soaring over Canada, with later shots confirming British Columbia as a key backdrop. Fans spotted a highway sign for Squamish, a town north of Vancouver, and even the license plate on Wolverine's bike appeared to be a sly Easter egg.
It read "229," which comic readers quickly linked to Uncanny X-Men #229, an issue where the Reavers clash with the X-Men. And yes, the Reavers are here, too. Those half-human mercenaries are seen clashing with Logan throughout the trailer. If you watched Logan, you'd know.
Brutal Combat & Gameplay
Insomniac isn't holding back when it comes to violence. The gameplay clips showed Logan fighting in alleys, bars, and rooftops. He's clawing through enemies and leaving a bloody mess behind.
Destruction is a big, big part, as enemies crash into walls and debris flies during combat. It feels like the Wolverine game fans have been begging for. This isn't the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swinging through the city. This is Logan.
One moment showed Logan sliding across rooftops with Madripoor's skyline ahead of him. It sparked questions about how "open-world" the game world is going to be.
Wolverine won't be a fully open-world game like Spider-Man but instead will feature hub areas for exploration. That lines up with what we see in the trailer.

Iconic Villains Enter the Fight
And then came the villains. One of the biggest crowd-pleasers was the reveal of Omega Red, a longtime Wolverine opp who looks ugly here (in a good way).
His design is intimidating, and he won't be an easy fight. Just imagine how intense the boss battles are going to be if the average combat looks so cool.
Another standout moment had Logan struggling to pop his claws. He's clearly been through hell in the scene. In a close-up shot, we see part of his cheek ripped open, exposing the adamantium underneath his skin. If Spider-Man's powers come with great responsibilities, then Logan's powers come with great pain.
Trask Industries and the Sentinel Threat
The trailer saved some of its biggest twists for last. In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, a soldier is revealed to be linked to Trask Industries. The name "Trask" on suits and logos is a dead giveaway, and you know what that means—Sentinels are coming.
The trailer ends with Wolverine squaring off against a massive Sentinel. Bolivar Trask, the man responsible for creating the Sentinels, will play a key role in the story.
Mystique also makes her debut in the trailer, disguised as one of the Reavers before revealing herself in all her blue-skinned badass glory. Her design looks great, but her role in the story remains open. If there's one thing we know about Mystique, it's that you can never fully trust her.
The Classic Yellow Suit Returns
Wolverine in his iconic yellow suit! Yes, that's it. The trailer gives us a close-up of Logan in the classic costume. It's not a full-body shot, but it's enough to confirm that Insomniac isn't shying away from giving us the Wolverine we have always dreamed of.
The casting of Liam McIntyre as the voice and face of Wolverine is another biggie. Many fans will recognize him from Spartacus. And he's the perfect Logan. McIntyre becomes the second Australian actor to officially play Wolverine, following in the footsteps of Hugh Jackman.

Release Window and What's Next
By the time the trailer fades out into the distance, we're left with information of a Fall 2026 release window and Insomniac's word that we'll hear more about the game in Spring 2026. That means no new info during The Game Awards later this year.
It's hard not to feel like Marvel's Wolverine is shaping up to be something special. This trailer packed in everything fans wanted.
Most importantly, it nailed the tone. This is claws-out classic Wolverine. Insomniac, you have satisfied us, but the only issue is that now we'll be suffering from insomnia, and yes, out of excitement.
