ARK Survival Ascended Guide Silica Pearl Location and Farming (Genesis Ascended Part 1)
Discover the best early-game and advanced Silica Pearl farming locations across the Ocean Biome.

Silica Pearls are essential for crafting Electronics and other advanced equipment in ARK: Genesis Ascended Part 1. Small amounts are available around the islands, but the best farming location is hidden deep beneath the Ocean Biome. With an Anglerfish, you can collect thousands of Silica Pearls from this area in a single trip.
Best Silica Pearl Farming Location
In the Ocean Biome, you can go to about 52.8 Latitude and 52.5 Longitude. There isn't a big island right next to this spot, so use the coordinates to make sure you're in the right place before you dive.
Below the surface, you will find a network of underwater trenches, walls, and pillars. These structures contain large clusters of Silica Pearl nodes. Instead of searching only along the seabed, swim close to the walls and inspect darker patches carefully.

Identify the Silica Pearl Nodes
The Silica Pearl nodes in this area look different from the traditional white shells found on many other maps. They appear as dark clusters attached to underwater walls and pillars, which can make them difficult to notice from a distance.
Search each wall slowly and move between nearby trenches. If one of the pillars has no visible nodes, move on to the next wall or go a little deeper down. The pearls often appear in large pockets, so finding one cluster usually means more are nearby.
Purple-colored clusters may provide Black Pearls instead of regular Silica Pearls.
Use an Anglerfish for Better Harvesting
You can harvest the nodes by hand, but this only provides around 25 to 45 Silica Pearls from each cluster. An Anglerfish gathers much more and is the best creature for farming this location.
Ride the Anglerfish directly into each node to harvest it. Depending on your server settings and the creature’s Melee Damage, a single cluster can provide more than 100 Silica Pearls.

Avoid Underwater Whirlpools
The trenches contain underwater whirlpools that can pull you toward the bottom. They are usually not deadly on their own, but they can interrupt your movement and leave you vulnerable to hostile sea creatures.

Swim away from the centre of the whirlpool as soon as you are caught. Bring Scuba Gear, a strong underwater mount, and enough protection to deal with nearby predators.
Early-Game Silica Pearl Locations
For a smaller and safer supply, search the shallow water surrounding the islands in the Ocean Biome. Traditional Silica Pearl shells can appear along beaches, streams, shallow rivers, and small pools of water.
These locations will not provide enough pearls for large crafting projects, but they are useful when you only need a basic supply of Electronics. Check every shallow pool you find, as even small inland water sections may contain several harvestable shells.
