Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Find the Chainsaw

Nothing is as bone-chilling compared to the sound of a Chainsaw. Unfortunately, in Silent Hill 2, it’s one of these special weapons that can only be unlocked once you’ve finished the game. This weapon is exclusive to New Game+.

However, the good news is once you are in New Game+, you’ll be able to get your hands on it pretty early in the run. This guide will show you how to find it.

At first, you’ll need to talk to Angela in the Graveyard and then make your way to the Silent Hill Ranch. If you look around the gate of the ranch, you’ll see a bunch of logs; one of the logs will have the Chainsaw sticking out of it, and you can retrieve the Chainsaw from there. And there you have it, the Chainsaw!

Just like all the other melee weapons in Silent Hill 2, you can use it indefinitely without having to worry about durability. The Chainsaw will help you steam through the enemies faster than any other melee weapon.
