If you're looking to rapidly accumulate Souls in Black Myth: Wukong during the mid-game, this farming method at Mount Zhenwu will provide you with over 300,000 Souls per hour.

You can unlock this farming process after you have access to Worships' Rise, Cloudspire, and Mount Zhenwu in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Location and Setup

Go to Mount Zhenwu and find the Avian Marsh Shrine. This shrine serves as your base for the farming loop.

The area has a perfect circular path. It lets you defeat enemies efficiently and return to your starting point to respawn.

You'll need at least one spell that launches projectiles for this method. Burning Flames is helpful because it boasts strong attack power and a dodge feature, making fighting easier. However, any projectile spell works for the farming route.

The Farming Route

Each complete circuit takes about one minute and twenty seconds to one minute and forty-five seconds. The time varies based on the frequency of enemy drops and the time it takes to collect them.

The route gives a base amount of 8,000 Souls per run, with a chance for much higher returns through bonus drops in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Start your loop by targeting the medium-sized enemies you find first. These creatures drop 390 Souls each when defeated.

Pay close attention to their death locations, especially if they perish over water, as their Soul drops appear immediately and can be missed if you're not observing in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Continue along the path until you reach the giant clam enemies. These enemies require your projectile spell to defeat safely, as approaching them in melee range results in them consuming you, wasting valuable time.

Each giant clam drops 2,750 Souls, making them the most valuable regular enemies in the farming loop.

The giant clams also have a chance to drop Crystallized Red Mercury, a valuable gem worth 2,000 additional Souls.

On average, you can expect one of these drops per run, though luck can vary. When both clam enemies drop these gems, you can earn over 12,000 Souls in total per run.

As you make your way back to the shrine, you'll face the last enemies: dog-like creatures. They might drop Red Mercury items worth 100 Souls each, giving you a small but steady bonus.

Drop Analysis and Optimization

During long farming sessions, you'll gather different valuable items in addition to the base Soul drops.

Crystallized Red Mercury gems give you 2,000 Souls each and are the most significant bonus drops. Growing Red Mercury items offer 800 Souls, while regular Red Mercury drops add 100 Souls per item.

In a typical 16-minute farming session with multiple runs, you can gather around 73,000 Souls in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

This rate equals over 250,000 Souls per hour if you keep it up consistently.

Additional Considerations

The farming method becomes more effective as you improve your movement and spell use.

Aim to take out enemies quickly while keeping an eye on where the drops land. Some runs may yield extra rare drops, such as equipment parts, but these are not common in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Since the game lets you completely change your skill points at any time, you can easily test different builds and weapons with the Souls you've collected.

This flexibility means you can put a lot of points into one weapon tree and later shift them to try out various combat styles without long-term consequences.

The Mount Zhenwu farming route offers a reliable method for gathering Souls efficiently, depending on the time you invest. It's an excellent choice if you are looking to level up multiple weapon trees or experiment with different character builds in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
