Spider-Man 2 Leak Shows Cut Symbiote Bosses and Other Story Elements.

There really seems to be no end leaks surrounding Insomniac Games’ Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as more recent leaks seem to show that plenty of content was cut from the final game, including several symbiote bosses and even major story plots related to the alien organisms. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was a massive hit for both players and critics alike, with many fans still enjoying what the game has to offer. Many fans have even begun to speculate what the next chapter in Peter Parker's story has in store for our masked hero.

One of the most exciting additions added to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was the inclusion of fan favorite symbiotes, namely the addition of classic Spider-Man villain, Venom. Considering how popular the character is in both comics and movies, it would only make sense that the villain would eventually make an appearance in Marvel's Spider-Man. However, many keen-eyed players have noted that there are various parts of the game that seem to hint at other symbiotes other than Venom and thanks to leaks, we now know that the strange alien organisms could have had a much bigger role in Marvel's Spider-Man 2’s story.

 

We first learned of this thanks to a series of tweets made by a Twitter user, under the alias of Worm. In these tweets, it would appear that Worm has extracted several files from the PC version of the game, which indicate that there were initially going to be several symbiote bosses planned for the game. We know this thanks to models found for Phage, Lasher, Agony and Riot. The data also showed that there was going to be a subplot based on the Venom limited comic series, Separation Anxiety, which just so happens to include the characters listed above.

While this is exciting news, unfortunately, we don't know how far along in development these stories were before getting cut from the game. This is bad news for fans of the symbiotes who were hoping to see my symbiote content more than what we received. However, hope is not lost as another leak does show that a DLC is on the way Hopefully, we will be able to see Riot and the other Symbiotes in action, but only time will tell.
