After unlocking the first Sprinkler in Solarpunk, the placement of the sprinkler can make a huge difference in the number of crops it can cover at once. This guide covers placement, powering it up, and what to do if coverage is not adequate.

Solarpunk Guide Placing Sprinkler

Placing the Sprinkler

Position the Sprinkler in between as many Crop Plots as you can. It has a coverage limit, so placement is important. A good setup is to water at least 9 plots, but 10 if everything is compacted. If a corner plot isn't getting covered, try shifting the sprinkler slightly and see if that fixes it. It may be necessary to remove and replace a plot or two to achieve adequate spacing for full coverage.

Connecting and Powering It

After the sprinkler is installed, connect Cables to your Control Station and tie it all together. Then, communicate with the control station and fill it with Wood, but not completely. Sixteen wood equals approximately 12 minutes of running time. Turn it on and let it go.

If Coverage Is Still Off

Not all plots will be in range at all times, and that's okay. The placement can be changed over time until a layout is found that works. Meanwhile, water uncovered plots by hand to maintain crop production. The next unlock after this unlock is to be able to create more sprinklers, so it's better to unlock this sooner than later.
