There's a hidden mechanic in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies that allows you to grow Aether Plants across the Ashes of the Damned map and is a way of getting your hands on free loot.

To initiate the process, you are first required to get your hands on the Fertilizer Canister. Fertilizer Canisters can spawn in various locations throughout the map. You will only need one, and once that's acquired, you will be able to spray it on specific plants.

The plants are difficult to spot as they're small, but they do glow green and can be found in patches of grass, tucked along buildings, and near various environmental props.

Each of these small plants acts as an interactable that can be enhanced using the Fertilizer Canisters. After spraying the plant with the fertilizer, there's a brief 30-second phase where zombies will begin spawning and attempt to destroy the plant. Your job is to protect it until the time is over.

If you manage to protect the plant for a brief duration, the plant will explode and burst open, dropping loot in the process.

The loot varies from run to run, but it typically includes equipment, salvage, and a small amount of essence. It is a quick and simple method to gather resources in the early rounds when they are running low.

And these plants act as a viable source of fluid, as these shrubs appear in various locations across Ashes of the Damned. Creating a steady stream of extra loot, aiding your setup in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies.
