Here’s how you can complete the Bear Attack Easter Egg and be rewarded with the Claw Talisman.

To get permanent double points using your melee weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, you'll need to get your hands on the Claw Talisman, and it's only possible to get it after completing the secret Bear Attack Easter Egg.

Challenge takes place inside the fog zones situated between the Diner and the Cosmodrome, and you'll only be able to participate in it if you have the Death Perception Perk equipped.

The perk will reveal the footsteps of the bear, which you need in order to progress.

You'll notice the steps as soon as you walk through the fog that leads towards either Diner or Cosmodrome.

If it doesn't pop up in the Diner area section of the fog, head to Cosmodrome to check again. Once you've spotted the prints, your next goal is to follow the footprints.

After following the trail far enough, a cutscene will cue where the bear pops out and drags you into a one-on-one fight. When you are spawned in, you'll notice that you have none of your gear on you.

As you're pretty vulnerable, your first step is to grab your gear as fast as you can before encountering the bear.

Once you pick up your weapon, it's also important to know that you can't finish the bear off using your gun, as doing so will not drop the desired item.

It's important that you only use your knife or any other melee. Upon finishing the challenge, only using a melee weapon, the bear will drop the Claw Talisman.

Equipping the Claw Talisman will grant you permanent double experience. The only catch is that it will only work for melee weapons.

The Claw Talisman is particularly suited for melee-focused builds that emphasize early-round farming, and using it has no penalties or drawbacks. Aside from you having to use your knife or melee.
