The Endgame Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has two types of contract events - Green activities and Blue assignments. The blue ones tend to reward you with more combat rating, but the green ones tend to be more time-effective.

Completing both types as you progress is an effective way of leveling up.

One of the green activities that pop up pretty often is the Toxin Field. Completing it is a reliable source of getting a combat rating and loot. It's usually marked on the map as a green icon that is shaped like a gladiator helmet.

The task usually takes place inside a building. Once you reach the marked location, you will need to interact with the door to unlock the structure. Inside it, you will find a bunch of spores scattered around various rooms and floors.

There will be a counter on the left-hand side of the screen, and that'll show you how many spores you need to destroy.

The number tends to depend on the difficulty of your zone, that you are currently in. The spores can be a bit difficult to spot because they usually blend into the dark environment, but they also have a distinct shape, and they often have a flower-like silhouette with a red glowing center.

Whenever you do get close to a spore, there will also be a clear audio that helps locate them.

Destroying each of the spores will cause hordes of zombies to spawn, and they can easily get out of hand. So it's important that you take your time going through the spores to avoid being overwhelmed at the end.

Once you destroy the final spore, there will be a boss that spawns, and the boss type will vary depending on the level of your zone. They tend to range from enhanced specials to full-on elites and higher tiers. Once you defeat the final boss, the activity will be completed.

After the Toxin Field activity is completed, they are usually safe inside the building.

Opening them will give you a bunch of combat rating points along with two loot caches, which will consist of various weapon upgrades and equipment. Completing these activities is a good way of building up combat rating reliably while also gathering useful resources.
