Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 does tend to feel overwhelming with all of its bells and whistles. To make the overall experience better, there are several important tips & features that you must get a hold of.

Weapon Prestige

There’s a big change in Call of Duty with the introduction of the weapon's prestigious attachment.

Most of the guns unlock a prestige attachment after they reach their maximum weapon level. After hitting that cap, each of the weapons will gain a prestige option that will offer a special attachment.

A lot of the attachments can be really good and strong, creating strong loadouts, whereas others tend to be handy in specific conditions.

You'll want to check a weapon's prestigious attachment before deciding which weapon to invest in, so that you will be able to utilise it in multiplayer and in the Warzone mode.

XP Tokens

XP Tokens make a comeback from Black Ops 6, and the player's role in weapon leveling. To everyone's surprise, they do carry over from Black Ops 6, and should be utilised in longer sessions rather than short gaming sessions.

How to Level Up Fast

There are a handful of methods that you can utilise to boost your XP. Here are some worth considering:

Hardcore

Playing hard-core modes will give you more medals one one-shot kills in long shots, tend to be easier, and the medals will add extra XP when paired with the regular kill bonuses.

Objectives

When playing modes like Hardpoint and Domination, they will be objective zones, and earning streaks in those specific areas can grant you immense XP bonuses.

Non-Lethal Streaks

Utilising support streaks like the UAVs and Recon Pulse rack up so much assist XP that even if your teammates make most of the kills, it will add up to your streak bonus.

Stack Kill

When doing Headshots, long-range shots, or double kills, you can quickly rack up XP that too when you pair it with the double XP tokens.

Progression in Every Mode

Unlike in the previous iterations, Black Ops 7 allows you to have extra progression through a lot of the modes, from Multiplayer, Zombies, Campaign, and the Endgame mode.

This now makes it so that story missions will contribute to levelling up weapons and unlocking Camos, which allows you to enjoy a slower pace whilst still making progress. And if the Campaign isn't your cup of tea, you'll always have other options.

Utilising Meta Weapons

With every Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 update, certain guns will outperform and do better than others. They often get nerfed later, but using them to their full potential during their meta-run can save a lot of time, as they tend to level up faster due to how strong they are.

Black Ops 7 allows you to have more freedom and flexibility compared to previous iterations. Having an eye for specific niche mechanisms like the prestige attachments and utilising XP tokens can help you greatly early on, giving you a smoother grind.
