Kingdom Come: Deliverance II follows in the footsteps of the first game, continuing the saga of Henry of Skalitz as he resumes his crusade of vengeance and adventure.
Getting your hands on a good armor set and weapon, especially early on, can get you a headstart. You will be able to get a full set of armor and swords in the first town, Troskowitz, and this guide explains how.
Upon reaching Troskowitz, you will spot a guard leaning against a wall. This guard holds the key to the locked amorset and weapon. To get the key, you will need to either rob, knock the guard out, or kill him. I prefer robbing the guard or knocking him out, as it’s the easiest way to approach this without attracting unwanted attention.
Pickpocket The Guard
To rob the guard, you will need to hold the interaction button to initiate the pickpocketing minigame. Your aim is to take the keys before running out of time; try again if you fail the first few times.
First Chest
Once you get the keys, head to the stables while crouched so that you do not get detected. Be extra careful since the area is distracted. If there are guards sitting nearby, throw a stone to wake them up and then throw another one in another direction to lure them away; this gives you a window to sneak in.
Head inside and unlock the door using the key you just got. This will lead to a chest containing different armor pieces. Check the item stats and select the most effective ones, focusing on their defensive values.
Second Chest
For this chest, you will want to return at night around 1 or 2 past midnight when most guards are asleep. Once it’s time, follow the same path through the stables, but instead of turning left, go straight right into the guardhouse.
Inside the guardhouse, you will find the second chest to the left; this chest will contain more weapons and armor. Once again, you will want to pick out the items with the highest defensive stats or the highest sell prices.
Be careful whilst exiting after you are done looting, as there may be guards patrolling the area.
By following these steps, you will hopefully have a powerful armor set that will help you out in the early game.
